May 10, 2025
Every year, EDD, city government, residents and local businesses partner to kick off the spring season by cleaning and beautifying Elmira's downtown. Activities include picking up trash, sweeping sidewalks, raking leaves and debris. Afterwards enjoy pizza and your 2025 DTCU T-shirt.

This is how Elmira kick-starts the summer Friday in style! As the largest happy hour, AA5 provides a destination for friends, family and coworkers to gather, unwind and networking while enjoying great live music, tasty beverages and a fun atmosphere.

A night filled with dinner, drinks, music and celebration. Guests will enjoy locally made food, cocktails, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Elmira contains many hidden treasures and gems that can sometimes be overlooked; therefore, guests do not know where the event will take place until the day of. This is a ticketed event.

Join us at TBD for an evening filled with great food, spirits, music and friends. Taste of Downtown is our annual fundraiser for the Elmira Street Painting Festival.

Stroll through our historic downtown while art takes place on the ground! Sample local restaurants, step into a pop-up gallery, listen to live music and experience all the festival has to offer!
Chalk It Up for our Youth is a summer workshop open to grades 3-12. During four Saturday sessions, students will have the opportunity to practice using the sidewalks as their canvas. The end result will be the students participation in the annual ESPF where they will showcase their works of art!

Community event that allows for kiddos to “trunk or treat” at Wisner Park. Local businesses and organizations decorate their cars in cute/spooky ways and pass out candy to the kids.

Wisner Market is held every Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM in Wisner Park. Vendors offer fresh produce, flowers, arts & crafts. Lunch is served throughout the park, featuring specialties from many well-loved restaurants and food trucks.

This dynamic event is a celebration of sportsmanship, community, and the joy of basketball. Players of all ages and abilities are invited to showcase their skills, while the streets buzz with excitement and friendly competition. It's more than just a tournament; it's a chance to experience downtown like never before.

Santa and his reindeer come to town every year to light our Wisner Park Christmas tree. Come visit with Santa, enjoy some hot cocoa and listen to our Winter Carolers. In partnership with Family Reading Partnership of Chemung Valley.

Family-friendly experience that brings holiday cheer to children and adults, community partners, and local businesses. The parade is always on Black Friday and marches 1 mile in the Business Improvement District. This one-of-a-kind parade has character floats and costumes and concludes with Mr & Mrs Clause.
